TOOL # 4 Moving Up to the Clouds

Allison Ratterree & myself both attended an in-service on Google Apps on June 14th and both believed this would be a great tool for collaboration within groups.  I feel it would be another form of communication making it more personal with individual students & teacher.  Both Allison & I created a google doc called  "Science 101" and had fun making changes, but both need lots of practice before using with students. Being able to make changes without constant emails will save a lot of time. We both agreed that another in-service is in need.  I think this tool would be an excellent EXIT Ticket summary of lessons.

TOOL # 3 Online Video & Image Resources

I had a lot of fun exploring Youtube & Teachertube.  I haven't quite mastered downloading videos but found several to be quite beneficial for teaching several concepts of culture.  Using several links for current events will also used such as CNN, ABCNews & USAToday

TOOL #2

Several sites allow discussion by subject which allows teachers to explore different strategies for teaching concepts within each unit.  You can reflect on your teaching & learning styles.  I explored google blogs on individual sites for middle school teachers in social studies. I was very intrigued with their technology in the classroom and will continue reading & upgrading my lessons.

TOOL #1

It was confusing for me but after Angela McNeil walked me through the process, I felt more comfortable.
